Gerneil Lorne (a.k.a. Jigsy) has 20 years experience coaching youth soccer and holds NSCAA Premier, Advanced National, National and Director of Coaching Diplomas, along with a Level 1 Goalkeeping Diploma. He played for the University of Connecticut under Coach Ray Reid, where he went earned a BA in Economics.
His coaching experience at both the club, high school and college level, include Queens Borough Community College (2005-2007), New York Magics (2007-2009) and NY State ODP Staff Coach (2006-2008)
In 2006, Jigsy found the acclaimed, J.I.G.S. (Just Implement Good Soccer) Soccer School, and has since fostered many strong relationships in clubs throughout Nassau County and Queens
In 2009, Jigs was appointed as Director of Coaching for the Elmont Youth Soccer Club, and under his leadership, has led the teams to State Cup championships, multiple Division 1 league titles, multiple cup finalist appearances and tournament victories also.
For the last 20 years Jigsy has been instrumental in the development of young players in the New York area. He is known throughout the state to be coach who inspires players to achieve greatness and prepares players to play at the highest level. Many of his players have had enormously successful youth careers at the U.S Development Academy and Youth National Team level.
