 EMSC Intramural Program

 
The Intramural Program is an introduction to soccer for all players U4-U12. This program serves the purpose of introducing a great game to kids, and allows those players who like sports for recreation, to play each week.
 
  • Each player will practice once a week.
  • Each team will play one match per weekend for 8 weeks in the Fall and 8 weeks in the Spring.
  • This is a great program for those that want to keep their children active, and in team sports.
  • It is a good initial step in soccer and it is the first step in several programs EMSC offers to allow players to play the game they love.
  • EMSC offers professional training once every three weeks to each age group in the Fall and the Spring.
  • EMSC also offers Coaching Education for all volunteer coaches in the program. 
 
EMSC Youth Academy Program
 
The Youth Academy is a continuation and expansion on the Intramural Program. This program is designed for every level of player U6-U8. This program houses every level of player; it is often confused as a program strictly for the aspiring elite player, and that is simply not the case.
 
U6/U7 Format
  • 1x per week training with Intramural team.
  • 1x game per week with Intramural team, 8 weeks Fall and 8 weeks Spring.
  • 2x per week training with EMSC professional staff in the Academy Training Program (Fall\Winter\Spring)
  • Players will play 6-8 games per season, Fall and Spring, with the Academy pool of players. Lead by the EMSC Staff Coaches.
  • Winter indoor play optional
  • Tournament Play
U8 Format
  • 1x per week training with Intramural team.
  • 1x game per week with Intramural team, 8 weeks Fall and 8 weeks Spring.
  • 2x per week training with EMSC professional staff in the Academy Training Program (Fall\Winter\Spring)
  • Players will play 6-8 games per season, Fall and Spring, with the Academy pool of players. Lead by the EMSC Staff Coaches.
  • Winter indoor play optional
  • Tournament Play
NOTES:
  • Many players, of all levels, join the Academy to increase their skill levels and to be challenged by playing with and against other players aspiring for more soccer time.
  • Players will be taught this great game for children by professionals on a frequent basis within the Academy setting.
    • The volunteer coaches also are incorporated and provided coaching education within this setting.
  • Many Intramural players want to play beyond U12.
    • Academy is a progressive and appropriately paced program for children to learn and love the game.
      • We take the players on a progressive teaching timeline from U7 to U8.
      • We prepare many players for soccer U9 and older.

 

 
Costs associated with each team/age group is available upon inquiry. We have found in comparison to surrounding clubs our costs to run this program are reasonable and often more competitive then our neighbors, for the services provided.
 
EMSC Travel Program
 
The Travel Program offers players U9-U18 the opportunity to continue in the game until they graduate from high school. We have teams in each age group for players aspiring to play elite level soccer, and we have teams in each age group that allow players who love the game to continue beyond Intramurals and Developmental. Many of our players aspire to be high school level players, and some aspire to play in college or beyond.
 
  • Each team is coached & managed by a professional youth coach and designed to challenge every possible level of player who wants to play this great game.
  • U9-U14 teams:
    • Generally train 2x per week in the Fall, 2x a week in the Spring and continue their training in the winter months.
    • We generally offer 2-3 teams per age group.
    • We offer teams for all levels of players.
      • 1st Teams “ players aspiring to play higher level soccer and love to play the game.
      • 2nd Teams “ players aspiring to be challenged and love to play the game.
      • 3rd Teams “ players aspiring to continue playing the game they love.
  • U15-U18 teams:
    • Generally train 1x per week in the Fall; 2-3x per week after high school in preparation for college showcases, and 2-3x per week in the Spring during league and State Cup play.
    • We generally offer 2-3 teams per age group.
    • We offer teams for all levels of players.
      • 1st Teams “ players aspiring to play higher level soccer, higher level high school soccer and college soccer; and love to play the game.
      • 2nd Teams “ players aspiring to be challenged, who want to be good high school players, some who aspire to play in college; and love to play the game.
      • 3rd Teams “ players aspiring to continue playing the game they love.
  • U9-U18 teams generally train and play in the winter 1-2 per week and play in a league setting.
  • All teams play in various Tournaments throughout the year.
  • The coaching staff is managed and mentored by the full time Director of Coaching.
  • We offer several camps programs and provide college-recruiting assistance to every player who is on that path.
