East Meadow - Smithtown Partnership

After extensive efforts from both clubs and all staff it is with great pride that East Meadow SC and Smithtown Kickers SC announce a joint venture of two of the top soccer programs on Long Island, New York. Smithtown Kickers SC becomes officially the first affiliate member of EMSC. The combined resources of the two clubs will be the corner stone of a new landscape being paved for girls’ soccer. 

Sean Russell, President of EMSC stated “I am extremely excited to be working with Smithtown Kickers SC an outstanding soccer club with an excellent reputation and long history of quality soccer in Suffolk County, New York.  EMSC and Smithtown share the same philosophy for player development and look forward to working together to offer players the opportunity to play at the highest level.” We are very excited about the affiliation and we look forward to working together with Smithtown toward the continued development of youth soccer on Long Island.”

“Pasquale La Manna, President of Smithtown Kickers commented, “Smithtown will anchor the course for player progression in eastern Long Island, which is sorely needed.  The affiliation with EMSC creates the bridge which is unique and more importantly critical for the player’s path to ECNL, which is the ultimate level for girl’s soccer. The synergies of the two clubs will make this a successful endeavor for our players.”

With this enterprise, EMSC and Smithtown Kickers SC will kick off a structure and model that will allow top female players the true opportunity to develop. The player’s will now be able to compete at the highest level of girls’ soccer in the country/region/state through the ECNL and NPL.   East Meadow SC and Smithtown Kickers SC have a deep history of player development and professional standards. This venture will further the opportunities to players to excel and play at the highest level.

The training model will allow players to be exposed to the highest standards of girl’s youth soccer with EMSC & Smithtown’s player development and Long Term Athletic Development philosophy and curriculum.

Tryouts in both clubs will commence in May/June 2015.
